Abstract
The purpose of this study was to establish the relationships between work benefits and employee
absenteeism in Christian organization. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted
from a population of 366 Christian organizations using a sample size of 186 Christian
organizations. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires that were either hand
delivered or emailed to respondents. Overall, filled questionnaires were received from 135
Christian organizations representing a response rate of 73% was attained for analysis.
The analysis of data involved correlation and regression analysis for answering the research
questions in accordance with the study objectives. The results revealed negative and significant
relationships between; financial benefits and employee absenteeism (r = -.386**, p<.01), and
non-financial benefits and employee absenteeism (r = -.355**, p<.01). From the findings,
discussion, conclusions and recommendations were drawn.
